Lei Jia雷加 (pennames include Liu Di 劉滌 and Liu Tianda劉天達) (1915-2009), a native of Dandong 丹東, Fengtian奉天Province (currently Liaoning 遼寧 Province). After the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, he moved to Nanjing. In 1935, he attended Tokyo University of Political Science and Law 東京政法大學. Lei returned to China in the spring of 1937, the year he began to publish writings. In 1938, he enrolled in Yan’an Kangda (延安抗大Yan’an Resist-Japan University) and joined the CCP.
